How to clean a bullet blender –
Cleaning a bullet blender is easy, however, most of the customers assume that cleaning the cup and the blades are the only steps involved. It is not, you have to clean the power base too. Follow the instructions mentioned below.
Cleaning the cup and blades –
Cleaning a bullet blender cup and blade could be done using a dishwasher or manually. We recommend that you do it manually. When it comes to manual cleaning, there are two methods that you could follow.
Manual cleaning method 1:
Step 1: Pick your bullet blender cup and then unscrew the blade from the cup. If you do not know how to do it, check the user manual. In general, all you have to do is, hold the blade with one hand from inside the cup, and with another hand, you need to turn the coupling outside the cup. The blade would now come off.
Step 2: Now, spread the blade, washer, and the coupling on the counter.
Step 3: Take a sponge and then soak it in warm water, wipe the exterior and interior of the cup with this sponge. You could also pour some warm water into the cup and rinse it. Remember not to use very hot water, too much heat could break or deform the cup.
Step 4: In a cup mix dish soap and warm water and then soak the sponge in this solution and use the sponge to wipe clean the exterior and interior of the cup. Remember, after wiping the cup, rinse the cup in water and check if any stains remain, if you find any, use the sponge again on the stains.
Step 5: Once you have completed wiping the cup and cleaning it, you need to rinse the cup with regular water.
Step 6: Now you need to pick up the blade and a toothbrush. Use the same dish soap solution to clean the blades. Dip the toothbrush in the solution and use it to brush the blades. Remember, the toothbrush should reach the nook and corner of the blade. You might find food still stuck between the blades.
If the blades are still attached to the cup and it cannot be removed, you could follow the same steps. However, do the cleaning step by step. This would help to increase the efficiency of cleaning.
After brushing the blade, you need to dip it in regular water and rinse it thoroughly. Now, place the blades and cup on the counter for at least 2 to 5-hours for drying. Before keeping the cup and blade for drying, try to use a microfiber cloth to wipe and dry off the blade and cup.
Manual cleaning method 2:
This method is a lot simpler, but, the cleaning efficiency might not be as better as method 1.
Step 1: Fill your bullet blender cup with dishwashing liquid and 2/3rd water.
Step 2: If you want to get rid of the odor, then add some small pieces of lemon into the solution.
Step 3: Now, attach the cup to the power base
Step 4: Switch on the blender and allow the blender to work for at least a minute.
Step 5: Turn off the blender and then remove the cup. Empty the cup and rinse it thoroughly with regular water.
Step 6: With a fiber cloth or rag, wipe to dry off the cup and the blades.
Cleaning the power base –
While cleaning the power base, you need to be careful, do not allow water droplets to enter the housing. Water droplets in the housing would kill the motor and the circuits.
Step 1: Unplug the bullet blender from the power socket first.
Step 2: Take a rag or microfiber cloth and then soak it in a soap solution, squeeze it to lose the excess fluid, and then use it to wipe the power base.
Step 3: Do a general wipe down of the entire housing first and then, check if there are any specific spots with stains, if yes, then, wipe the spot vigorously.
Step 4: After getting rid of the stains on the exterior of the power base, you need to use the same fiber cloth or rag to clean the coupling socket, be careful not to use excess water in the coupling socket.
Step 5: Once, you have cleaned the housing and coupling socket, you need to use a dry microfiber cloth to dry off the housing and socket. Then it on a countertop for at least one or two hours for drying.
Now, you are done cleaning your bullet blender.
